A Dish That Brings People Together
Indulge in this elegant and comforting recipe, featuring tender cod, crunchy smoked lard, and sweet butternut puree.
Ingredients (serves 4):
- 4 cod fillets
- 8 slices of smoked lard
- 1 butternut squash
- 2 potatoes
- 20 cl thick sour cream
- 1 butter nut
- Salt and black pepper
- Fresh parsley (garnish)
Preparation:
- Butternut Puree
Peel and chop squash and potatoes. Cook in salted water for 15 minutes. Drain, mash with fork, and mix with butter and sour cream. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of smoked paprika (optional). - Cod Preparation
Wrap each cod fillet with 2 slices of smoked lard. Cook in a hot skillet for 5-7 minutes per side, until lard is crispy and fish is tender. - Assembly
Serve each cod fillet with a generous serving of butternut puree. Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of smoked paprika (optional).
Tip: Add a pinch of smoked paprika or sweet chili to enhance the flavor!
