Indulge in this mouth-watering surf-and-turf combination, featuring tender steak, succulent Cajun shrimp, and a loaded baked potato.

Ingredients:

For the Steak:

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 8 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Cajun Shrimp:

  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

For the Loaded Baked Potato:

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Baked Potatoes:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Scrub potatoes, pierce with a fork, and rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Bake for 45-60 minutes or until tender.
  1. Cook the Steak:
  • Rub steaks with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  1. Cook the Cajun Shrimp:
  • Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat.
  • Add shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and minced garlic.
  • Sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp turn pink.
  1. Prepare the Loaded Potatoes:
  • Slice each baked potato open lengthwise and fluff insides with a fork.
  • Add butter, sour cream, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions.
  1. Assemble the Dish:
  • Plate the steak alongside the loaded baked potato.
  • Top the steak with the Cajun shrimp and drizzle with buttery juices.
  1. Serve:
  • Garnish with additional green onions or parsley if desired.
